Benjie's nativity service

Yesterday, the last day for the year of Benjie's nursery on campus (the new school year starts in January in the Kenyan system), it was time for the nursery nativity service held in the campus chapel. He evidently felt that there should have firemen along with the shepherds at Jesus' birth.

2 pictures of him on stage, not doing a wonderful job of reciting memory verses (but then he only goes to nursery in the morning), but keeping up with the actions, one in the audience with Carys.

While on the subject of Benjie and nursery, we went for his end of term report this morning. They'd filled in a questionnaire of his responses to questions about the family. He told them about his brother, sister, that what Daddy did was working on his computer, and what Mummy did was digging with a spade...

Carys is still in school for 2 more weeks (British system), and we're OK. Exams next week, and lots of marking to do! Going to a Thanksgiving dinner tonight, and we made it to our first house group on Tuesday: about 200 yards away, but we still had to drive, as the gate we go through closes at 9. The van's only got stuck in mud 2 or 3 more times, but more seriously there's been horrendous flooding in parts of Kenya, including in Nairobi, but not where we live on high ground.

Hi everyone,
This is Liz Rock and Rachel Greene getting in touch. We are having a bit of time together away from the kids (My kids are not asleep upstairs! but there are taking a bit of time out)

Aladdin is on at the theatre and we're thinking of kidnapping benjie, carys and david and inflicting it upon them!

(Rachel) I bought nicky some flowers with luke today, then forgot they were in the pushchair when i folded it to get on the bus! Result was a decapitated rose but nicky accepted them graciously with a twinkle in her eye! :-)

(Liz) I went to Hodgepodge (a pottery shop) for my birthday a couple of weeks ago, and painted a 'Santa's Snack Plate' for the kids. (Rachel: it's a typical Liz creative masterpiece!) Forward booking- David is inviting Benjie to his 3rd birthday party on Sun 17th Dec 2.30-4.30pm
